Ten Gentle Prompts to Meet Yourself Again
For the days you feel scattered — soft prompts to return home to your own inner room.
Some days I do not know who I am. Not in a big, dramatic way — just in a quiet way, the way a room forgets the shape of the person who lived in it.
On those days, I do not try to be productive. I open the journal and answer one of these:
- What did I love as a child that I no longer make time for?
- Which room in my home feels most like me right now — and why?
- What am I pretending not to know?
- Where in my body am I holding today's tenderness?
- If today were a colour, what would it be?
- What is one prayer I have not yet spoken aloud?
- Who am I when nobody is watching, needing, or asking?
- What am I ready to release, and what am I ready to receive?
- What would I whisper to my younger self across the years?
- If life is the celebration — what am I celebrating today, however small?
You do not need to answer all of them. Even one, written honestly, is a homecoming.
